I hope you’re well! Here’s my seasonal update on what has been going on with me and what I have coming up.
Catch up:
— Wizard of Legend went physical…and I think it’s sold out as of today!
— My Wizard of Legend soundtrack went physical too and it’s about to ship soon.
— Oh, and I have a sheet music book!
— I just finished new music for Nintendo of America, including new video backing and even a end card jingle!
— Toricky, a game I scored along with hero Hiroki Kikuta, is now out on Nintendo Switch in Japan.
What I’m working on now:
— Dreamscaper
Things are getting exciting! Our Early Access release is just around the corner. We’re hot off of a prologue release (which has more than 400,000 activations on Steam!) and just rewarded Game of Show at INDIGO 2020. This game isn’t even out yet and it has a big fan base! This is the game I’ve been working on most, since our release is so soon. I cannot wait for everyone to hear and see what we’ve been working on. August!
— Snacko
This adorable game just wrapped on a successful Kickstarter and I’m having the time of my life creating music for it. It’s probably the cutest farming game ever made and that’s saying a lot. Your life will be improved considerably by following the Snacko Twitter and being showered by cute cat images on a daily basis.
— Helvetii
Helvetti has been such a creative and explorative release for me. Its soundtrack is unlike anything I’ve ever done before and I’m so glad that I’ve been allowed to channel this new energy into such a lovely game. I continue to collaborate with famed video game vocalist Emi Evans on it — I can’t wait to hear the latest batch of songs finished. We’re getting close on Helvetii!
— Alchemic Cutie
I am just doing the last minute housekeeping on this relaxing, wonderful pixel art game. It’s like an instant smile in game form and I wanted its surprisingly large soundtrack to reflect that. Following some recent appearances in game showcases it seems like excitement is building. I’m just as excited to see it in action.
— Astral Ascent
I’m very pleased to announce today that I’ll be composing music for this beautiful game by Hibernian Workshop. Astral Ascent has been quietly announced but a bigger reveal is coming soon. What I’ve seen so far is eye-poppingly gorgeous and incredibly exciting for me. This will be one to watch — mark my works.
— Mahou Arms
Funk bass, EDM, super electronic, but with sweeping organic flourishes — there’s a bit of everything in my soundtrack for Mahou Arms. It’s probably my most sound-design-y score yet with my synthesizers working overtime to bring in low sub hits and risers, searing stabs, and atmospheric tingles. I’m so happy with how this soundtrack is turning out. And I’m almost done!
— Sword of the Necromancer
The Kickstarter for this game was funded at over 1,300%! Finally — someone is letting me write vocal music! It’s a specialty of mine that is rarely used. I’m very happy to be contributing in this way. More news soon!
— Ray’s The Dead
Aaaaaaaaaaalmost finished! Phew! I’m glad Ray’s The Dead is almost out but that’s more because I’m so excited to play it. I just finished what I think is the final battle music. And it’s pretty rad and wild on its own. This game is going to be so fun — get ready.
— Mystiqa
I’m honored to be writing music for this charming action RPG. I’m also honored to be working on the first commercial release for 18-year-old developer Julian Creutz. I’m just getting started but I have so many good ideas for this game that is sure to be a lot of fun. 4-player co-op!
— Clea
I just finished my work and and it was just released a few days ago. This survival horror from InvertMouse is currently ranking “Very Positive” on Steam with hundreds of reviews. I wrote music for the upcoming Nintendo Switch release!
— M.A.S.S. Builder
Gah, look at this game. Isn’t it amazing? I’m glad to have been able to contribute battle music to this super deep mech game from Vermillion Digital. This one is going to be a big deal. Well, it kind of already is!
— Star Mazer DSP
While only a smaller contribution, I’m glad to have added to this super cool roguelike SHMUP with my music.
— New IP
From a game maker I always dreamed I’d work for but never imagined I would. That’s about all I can say. It’s literally the opportunity of a lifetime and I hope I’m doing a good job. I have no idea.
— Several more! LOL!
More games I’m not allowed to say anything about, but have been working on or am about to really get to work on soon. Obviously, I can’t wait to share news on them. I hope I can soon.
Coming Soon!
— Super cool new IP!
I…I’m not allowed to talk about it yet. But I think it’s coming out in a matter of days. It’s a new IP from a fan-favorite developer that makes super cool, fresh games. I spent about a year and a half writing the score to this game and I’m itching to play it and see in it action. Very, very soon!
— Short film
My friend is an actor you might know. I’m lucky that he asked me to score his short, a funny (and dark) film that let me do new things musically. I can’t say much now but I’ll be able to share it soon!
— Animated show pilot
No idea whatsoever when it’s coming out! I try not to think about it. But it’s super cool and I hope it comes out soon.
— New Album
I’m running behind on it but it’s coming soon enough!
— Pending good stuff x2
There are two projects that are pending that are KILLING ME but I’m remaining as positive and hopeful as possible for. I’m supposed to hear back on both in the coming weeks. Both are dream game territory for me and that’s about all I can say.
